Our Paramount Commitment to Safety and Well-being
At The Paddock, we believe that learning only truly begins when a young person feels secure. Our Alternative Provision provides a tranquil and methodical environment where safeguarding is woven into every interaction. We maintain rigorous standards and a proactive culture of care, ensuring that students with SEMH needs are protected, heard, and empowered to rebuild their confidence in a safe, professional setting.
OUR SAFEGUARDING TEAM
The safety and wellbeing of our students are at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated Safeguarding Team is always available to listen, support, and act on any concerns.

REPORTING CONCERNS
1
Direct Support: Speak to Staff
Students and parents are encouraged to immediately share any worries with a member of staff they trust. Our team is trained to listen without judgement and follow internal protocols to ensure every voice is heard.
2
Designated Safeguarding Lead Review
Every concern is documented and reviewed by our DSL. We evaluate the information with care, keeping the young person's well-being at the centre of every decision and ensuring appropriate next steps are taken.
3
External Agency Cooperation
In cases requiring emergency or external intervention, we work transparently with Telford and Wrekin's Children's Services and other local authorities to secure necessary support and professional guidance for the child's safety.
GOVERNANCE & STANDARDS
At The Paddock, we maintain a robust framework of policies to ensure transparency and accountability. Our procedures are designed to create a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment for all our young people in Shropshire and beyond.
