ABOUT THE PADDOCK

A peaceful place to learn, grow and thrive

The Paddock is a specialized alternative provision school in Shropshire for young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We provide a tranquil and methodical environment where students can find their footing and build the resilience for a successful transition. Our commitment is to empower every individual to rediscover their potential through meaningful learning pathways and professional support.

Beginning in 2026, The Paddock is a response from Director and Principal Luke, and the rest of the team, to fill a gap in the education provision in Telford.

Luke has worked in schools and alternative provisions for over 25 years. He has led two mainstream schools, a Pupil Referral Unit and has worked in the Virtual School in Telford. He is a highly experienced teacher, leader and champion of young people with wide ranging educational needs.

The Paddock is the culmination of our Christian values, experience and desire to create an education environment that will both stretch learners and care for them... placing the young people at the core of all that we do.

Nurturing Growth with a Person-Centered Approach

At The Paddock, we believe every young person deserves an educational journey that respects their individuality. Our philosophy is rooted in providing a tranquil, methodical environment where students with SEMH needs are empowered to rediscover their potential through specialized support and a curriculum that adapts to their pace, fostering resilience and self-belief for the future.
